Thought for the Month

Visualize Yourself the Way God Sees You!

Many Christians see themselves the way their parents, relatives, classmates, teachers and the world sees them.  But how does God see them?  According to  Psalms 139:14 God's Word says: "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."  Praise His Holy Name!

Does your soul, which is your mind, will and emotions knoweth well? Because until you and I get into the Word of God, your soul is struggling with an identity crisis.  Without the Word of God - Your soul is lost.   Mark 8:35-36 puts it plainly:  "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and for the gospel will save it. 36 What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?"

As born again Believers, we have a new life in Christ Jesus.  We are new creatures according to 2 Cor 5:17.  We see in Eph. 4:23 God's Word say for us "to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be renewed in the spirit of your minds; 24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness."  In order to be renewed in the spirit of your mind you and I have to feed on the Word of God!  The Word of God is our instruction manual to live on this earth! This is seen in Romans 12:2; "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God."  These scriptures and many more will help you to visualize who you are in Christ!

Why loose your soul for temporary pleasures? So many put more emphasis on their bodies to look buffed - but what about your soul.  There are people today, you may be one of them that are incarcerated in their minds.  They are in bondage to their thoughts.  Satan has infiltrated their minds with thoughts of suicide, depression, oppression, dis-ease and tormenting thoughts - they have no idea how to get rid of them.  Many take medication for their thoughts.  But GOD'S WORD says to renew your mind - How? With the Word of God.  The Word of God is medicine.  The Word of God will comfort your mind.

Remember, the Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Guide, our Counselor and much more.  Rely on His Guidance and not your own understanding. Acknowledge Him today and receive the Holy Spirit into your life to help you.  You will be glad you did!
